At Francis Scott Key Elementary School learning is fun! Our teachers, support staff and parents take an active role in creating a positive environment which is reflected of our student’s academic and social excellence at Key.
We embrace the PBIS Program each year and have added a new focus to assist with positive behavior.
This year PBIS will focus on Character Education and the teaching of pro-social behaviors through the six pillars of character.
The six pillars of character traits are:
Each month the entire school works on one of the character traits. At the beginning of the month we would have an assembly on one of the traits. In partnership with the High Schools GATH Program, the high school students will perform an age appropriate skit demonstrating how a student should behave when faced with real life situations that require a person to demonstrate positive behavior and good character.
