The Oak Park Preparatory Academy is committed to excellence, thus exists to provide a positive junior high school experience where adolescent learners are prepared academically, socially, and emotionally for successful transition to high school and beyond.
Our Beliefs...
- Optimistic that all students can have a valuable learning experience, we are committed to meeting the needs of each student; therefore, we will offer a standards-based curriculum through differentiated instruction and real-world experiences.
- Positive behavior support (PBS) is essential to creating and maintaining a safe and secure learning environment; therefore, we will model and promote positive behavior expectations for all students.
- Parental and community partnerships are a key contributor in helping students to reach their maximum potential; therefore, we will work collaboratively with parents and community agencies to provide programs to help promote student development.
- Adolescence is a period of significant physical, social, and emotional change; therefore, we will educate students about these changes in a caring environment which builds self-confidence through self-awareness.
