Principal's Letter

Greetings, Oak Park High School Families,

Welcome to the 2025/2026 school year!

I hope your summer was filled with quality time with your Scholar. As we prepare to welcome our Scholars back to the Home of the Knights, I am excited for the transformative journey ahead.

As we approach the new school year, let's always remember to make the most of the learning opportunities that come our way, embrace challenges as stepping stones to deeper understanding and growth, and celebrate both our victories and the lessons learned from challenges. At Oak Park High School, we’re committed to creating an environment where our Scholars can excel, grow, and conquer during these crucial years.

Our school culture is anchored in four essential pillars:

  • On Task - Rigorous, relevant learning experiences that challenge your teenager and prepare them for college, careers, and life beyond high school.
  • Positive - High expectations, recognition of achievements, and unwavering belief in their ability to succeed and shape their future.
  • Helpful - Complete support as they navigate academic demands, college planning, career exploration, and social challenges through mentoring, counseling, and guidance.
  • Safe - Physical and emotional safety where they can express themselves, take academic risks, learn from mistakes, and develop into confident young adults.

Thank you for choosing Oak Park High School and for being our partners in preparing your young adults for their bright futures. Here's to a year filled with academic growth, personal discovery, and leadership development!

With Knight Pride,

Dr. Renita Williams, OPHS Principal
