Oak Park Preparatory Academy Students Make a Lasting Impact at Forgotten Harvest

Oak Park Preparatory Academy Students Make a Lasting Impact at Forgotten Harvest

On December 5, 2024, 21 outstanding young men from Oak Park Preparatory Academy (OPPA) demonstrated the true spirit of community service during the Second Annual Forgotten Harvest Community Service Field Trip. These 6th, 7th, and 8th-grade students rolled up their sleeves and worked tirelessly to box an astounding 12,617 pounds of food, providing essential nourishment to families in need.

This inspiring day of service was made possible through the dedication of Mr. James Fletcher and Mr. William Zachman, who coordinated this meaningful event. Their efforts ensured that our students could experience firsthand the power of giving back, while also fostering essential values like leadership, compassion, and teamwork.

We couldn’t be prouder of our students for their commitment to making a difference in the lives of others. Their hard work and heart embody the values we hold dear at Oak Park Schools.

Let’s continue to celebrate and support these incredible acts of kindness that remind us of the strength in community. Together, we can create a brighter future for everyone.
