Oak Park Schools Welcomes Robin Johnson as Human Resources Manager

The Oak Park Schools is pleased to welcome Robin Johnson as its new Human Resources Manager. With over a decade of experience in employee relations, workforce planning, and culture-building initiatives, Robin brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the district.
Robin is a strategic HR leader with a strong background in talent management, employee engagement, and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) strategy execution. She has a proven track record of fostering positive work environments, resolving complex HR matters, and developing leadership pipelines to drive organizational success.
Before joining Oak Park School District, Robin served as an HR Executive at Target, where she played a key role in improving employee retention, strengthening workplace culture, and implementing initiatives that promoted inclusivity and professional growth. Her ability to navigate HR challenges and implement effective solutions has consistently led to long-term improvements in the organizations she has supported.
Robin holds an MBA from Roosevelt University and a Bachelor of Science degree from Kent State University.
As the HR Manager for Oak Park School District, Robin is committed to fostering an equitable, supportive, and high-performing work environment where staff feel valued and empowered—ultimately enhancing student success. She is passionate about ensuring that all employees have the resources and support they need to thrive in their roles.
Outside of work, Robin enjoys giving back to her community through volunteerism and supporting the children’s ministry at her church. She also loves engaging in creative hobbies such as sewing and arts & crafts. Above all, she cherishes time with her husband and children, finding joy in the moments spent with family.
