Oak Park Schools Welcomes Shana Murphy as New Director of Curriculum

Oak Park, May 15, 2024 – Oak Park Schools is proud to announce the appointment of Shana Murphy as the new Director of Curriculum. Mrs. Murphy will be joining the Teaching and Learning Department, bringing with her a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to educational excellence. Murphy's diverse roles in education reflect her dedication to holistic improvement within the education system. She has an impressive background that includes serving as a teacher, Curriculum Coordinator, Dean of Instructions, and Principal of two schools. Most recently, she has been the Principal of Key Elementary School for the past three years.

What sets Mrs. Murphy apart is her unwavering passion for teaching and learning. She believes in the transformative power of education and is dedicated to fostering an environment where every student can thrive. Her focus on curriculum and instruction ensures that educational practices are not only effective but also reflective of the needs of the community.

In her new role, Murphy will collaborate closely with the Assistant Superintendent of Teaching and Learning to evolve and enhance the district's curriculum. Her leadership is expected to bring innovative approaches to curriculum development and implementation, ensuring that Oak Park Schools remain at the forefront of educational excellence.
