Oak Park Marching Legion Shines at 98th America's Thanksgiving Parade
A huge congratulations to our very own Oak Park Marching Legion for their spectacular performance at the 98th America's Thanksgiving Parade, presented by Gardner White! The event, held on Thanksgiving Day, showcased the incredible talents of high school marching bands from across the region, including Southfield A&T, the St. Clair Marching Saints, and Allen Park High School's marching band.
The Marching Legion delivered a magnificent show, captivating the audience with their energy, precision, and dedication. Their performance highlighted the countless hours of practice and the unwavering commitment of each band member to excellence. The pride of Oak Park was on full display as the Marching Legion marched proudly down the parade route, leaving an indelible mark on this celebrated event.
We would like to extend a special shout-out to John Akis, our talented and passionate band director, whose leadership and vision continue to inspire our students to achieve greatness. Your dedication to the program and to these young musicians is truly commendable.
Thank you to all the students, staff, and supporters who have contributed to the success of the Oak Park Marching Legion. Let’s keep the momentum going as we continue to celebrate the spirit and talent of Oak Park Schools!
